Throughout the years we have had the opportunity to interact and get to know a lot of our amazing fans. We dedicate this section specifically to those fans who have shown dedication and passionate support for Floyd Mayweather and the Mayweather Promotions family. We reached out and asked our fans to post a photo letting us know why they thought they were Floyd’s biggest fans. After receiving an overwhelming amount of responses, we couldn’t pick just one, so we narrowed it down and selected two participants. Both displayed amazing responses and proved to be be awesome fans, so for the first time, we have two winners to represent this quarter’s Fan of the Quarter! See what they had to say.

Steven Robinson

Steven Robinson was the first fan that immediately stood out to us. Steven didn’t have one or two reasons why he thought he was Floyd’s biggest fan, he had SIX! When asked why he was Floyd’s biggest fan, he listed these six great reasons:

  1. I keep a Floyd signed glove and painting I did in the Man-Cave, with only one other fighter on my wall…Muhammad Ali
  2. I stay fresh in TMT gear
  3. I have a boxer dog appropriately named “Mayweather” or “Money” for short
  4. Tried to buy Mayweather vs. Pacquiao on PPV TWICE so it would play on my 2 basement TV’s, luckily DirectTV hooked me up. Regardless, it wouldn’t have stopped me from dropping $200 if necessary
  5. I watch every Mayweather Promotions fight on Showtime and other networks that I can and I keep up with the TMT fighters, Gervonta Davis, Mickey Bey, J’Leon Love, and others.
  6. I am 49-0 in Mayweather vs. Pacquiao arguments.

MP: “What do you like most about Floyd Mayweather?”

Steven: “His brilliance! Floyd is a Genius. He is a chess master at a table with a bunch of checkers players. He virtually has no weaknesses in the ring. His defense is the best of any era, yet has one of the best counter attacks as well. He’s held some of the best fighters in the world to some of their worst offensive performances. Juan Manuel Marquez only landing 12% to Floyds near 60%, Pacquiao only 19% landed, just 81 total punches, Canelo 22%. De La Hoya 21%, and I could go on. It’s fun to hear people’s reasoning on why they think a certain fighter will give Floyd trouble, but once it is all said and done, the result is always the same. You can’t break his armor. ”

MP: “What was your favorite memory/moment of Floyd Mayweather?”

Steven: “It would have to be his victory over De La Hoya. When Floyd was mocking Oscar at the Mayweather vs. De La Hoya press conference and actually went out and delivered, that was one on my favorite fights to date.  Also the Canelo Alvarez fight was great, because Floyd fought more aggressively than usual and really gave the young man Canelo a lesson and also made him as dangerous as he is today.”

MP: “What makes you the biggest Floyd Mayweather fan?”

Steven: “I am just a die-hard fan all around. Sports is my life and I think I am the biggest fan of everything I like. I follow my favorite teams, athletes, and I support them in anyway I can. I’ve bought every Mayweather fight even though people have told me where they stream it for free, I just don’t do that and I don’t mind spending the money. Floyd’s fights are worth it, and always will be worth it because my favorite fighter always wins! haha. I rep The Money Team and watch all of the young upcoming stars like my personal favorites: Gervonta Davis, Badou Jack, and J’Leon Love. I really love all of the fighters he promotes. I also have a boxer dog named Mayweather we call him “Money” for short and he coincidentally has a 0 shape of white hair on his chest.”

MP: “Anything else you’d like to mention or like for us to know?”

Steven: “I’d just like to thank Mayweather Promotions, Floyd and anyone involved in the selection process. It feels great to be recognized by a living legend as one of his top fans. It means a lot for real! I will continue to support Floyd Mayweather if he stays retired or comes back to get 50-0 or even more, I’ll be ready.  Thanks again Champ! 49-0 TBE!!!”

Elijah “EJ” Flores

Elijah “EJ” Flores was our second winner for this quarter’s newsletter! When asked why he believed he was Floyd’s biggest fan he answered:

“Floyd has inspired me to do my very best in boxing because of his hard work and high standards he sets for himself. I will keep working hard in my boxing career and not lose focus on what I need to accomplish to be a world champion like Floyd Mayweather one day. My biggest motivation has been my parents and they told me that I am special and have a special talent for boxing. I definitely want to work hard to make them proud. Floyd’s style of boxing is my favorite, and I love the fact that he throws punches when he knows he can land them. Not only that, but his defense is super great. He has taken boxing to another level and should be TBE of all time. I just won a belt and also have a green belt like Floyd does.”

MP: “What do you like most about Floyd Mayweather?”

EJ: “What I like most about Floyd is how he motivates himself to accomplish his goals and I also like his defensive skills in the ring.”
MP: “What was your favorite memory/moment of Floyd Mayweather?”

EJ: “My favorite moment has to be when he KO’d Ricky Hatton in the corner.”

MP: “What makes you the biggest Floyd Mayweather fan?”

EJ: “I would say have to say that I aspire to be like him in the ring and I clown a lot with my team mates the way he does. Each time I’m training I’m pumping myself to get closer to becoming a member of TMT.”

MP: “Anything else you’d like to mention or like for us to know?”

EJ: “I would like to meet Floyd one day. A good friend of mine is Josue Vargas. We grew up together in the Bronx and I’m happy that he is with TMT. My father and I went to Vegas to go and see him in hopes of seeing Mayweather but we didn’t get a chance to. I hope to see Floyd or possibly be a member of The Money Team one day. Thank you very much.”
