Fight 4 Fitness 2016

TFMJF and Mayweather Promotions inaugurated the Fight 4 Fitness weekend by partnering with TAKAT Jewels to host an Urban Fitness League competition at the Mayweather Boxing Club on Saturday April 16th, 2016 where UFL athletes were given a platform to showcase their talents and compete for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place through a high level competition in front of our selected judges.

Our three-part series event featured a competition in the lightweight, middleweight and heavyweight divisions, followed by a second and third competition featuring a “Freestyle” and “Best Trick” showcase in which the crowd and celebrity judges selected the winners. At the close of the event, the athletes hosted a Q&A and autograph session with kids in attendance.

“The mission of the Urban Fitness League is to promote fit and healthy life through calisthenics and proper diet for everyone. The Urban Fitness League is partnering with the athletes to bring the urban fitness lifestyle to youth across our cities and playgrounds,” said Ben Sturner Founder of the UFL. “The UFL, our athletes and leadership are all 100% committed to combatting the inactivity pandemic and obesity by making fitness cool with our events, athlete personalities and no barriers to entry.”

Our 2nd Annual Fight 4 Fitness 5K Race, 2K Walk, KIDS FUN RUN, and Community Day held on Sunday, April 17th at Sunset Park included over 300 participants; from children of all ages, friends and family, to members of the community. Before the races kicked off, the entire group of runners/walkers enjoyed a stretch led by Power Yoga. We were joined by The Mayweather Promotions stars, trainers, and various talent who amped up the crowd with their fun and entertaining performances. Also joining us was Cheryl Wagner of CCSD, and many other special guests. The Community Day event immediately followed the race day awards ceremony and included great food, music, fun games, raffled prizes, and knowledgeable health and fitness exhibitors who offered their services to enhance individual fitness goals.

“My foundation genuinely cares about the Las Vegas community, and we are continuing our pledge to serve with great events like this,” said Mayweather. “Staying fit and active is so important. We strive to encourage people of all ages to work towards getting in shape and living a healthy lifestyle.”
